I wonder if anyone would like to toss this question around for a latency test>

As we know, IP video, data, voice require low latency backbones. Since FNet Corp. is run through WCOM, would it make a difference if>

" the packet originates on A backbone (WorldComm in this case) and travels on A backbone WCOM to the destination IP telephony site?"

Don't forget that some gateways will use A backbone and run through B backbone (whomever B is) to the destination site, and this will make a difference in latency.

I know the answer isn't easy, but tests show that using A backbone from start to finish does make a difference. Since WCOM has its own backbones, the IP packet shouldn't need to run through MAE East, therefore less latency will occur.

Why else would Frank want his "tempest-gateway" to run on its own virtual-track. Choo! Choo!

Anyone agree to disagree?
