To the Thread,

WOW.

I take a day and a half off for traveling and MJ and you guys give me weeks worth of homework....I want to summarize my comments..

1) Noblesse, give em hell. He should have to wear your "Guccis"...
2) Floyd, do you wear Guccis?
3) Franklin, "Have a take and do not suck".
4) Dodge, clearly has a wife and family with unusual tolerance, as always outstanding research. When I start my hedge fund, you are coming along...
5)Sisofix2, another attorney? Get used to Noblesse, he does write eloquently though doesn't he?..I wish I had his skills.
6) Saliba, we need your help, TRIPLE up.
7)Morelli, where you been??
8)Ariella, nice job on the link...
9)Franklin, "have a take and do not suck" X2...
10) Voyager, your buddies still "happy" with their investments?...Appears to me judging from the "volume" of posts made by the other guys you are rapidly losing market share..
11) Armstrong, we miss your industry intelligence, post more.
12)Maurice, Please quit golf and start a PR firm...
Did I miss anyone? I hope not.
Oh, BTW, I saw Vince Wren today. He appears confident about the future. I wonder if he will enjoy working for Dr. Fan...<VBG>

If only TFS could "BE LIKE MIKE"

Hi Michael:

Thank you for your report: <<some cellphone mfgs actually make as many as 1,000 different models of handset. Most of the differences are on the inside. This chaos will continue ..., as the standards discussion for the newest generation (G-3) has broken down, and essentially been abandoned.>>

Since most of the differences are "on the inside" that leaves TFS and the likes a fairly constant requirement to deliver .... screen with phone numbers ... names ... e-mail warning ... power situation ... with some custom fiddling at the interface.

But what a mess that must be to deal with?! No one gets any economies of scale out of such a fractured market.

MOT could ????? do quite well if they could ever pull together the clout to deliver a defacto industry standard. As IBM did to the then chaotic personal computer market when they introduced the PC. Or as MSFT did when the delivered DOS. Can you even remember the names of those other computers and operating systems?
