I'm not sure I understand either, but I want to. Puts and calls
can be exercised at any time, but are usually bought and sold
instead. The put writer expects the price to go up. Hence
buying stock and writing puts are not a hedge strategy,
but are a play on the same side of the coin (bullish). Let's hope
Intel is right, else they will lose more money, buying back those
puts at a premium.
