David. Very interesting again. I know what you mean when you are talking about the old school. And you are definitely right that Intel would have been blasted to space if they made as many mistakes as Msft does in their software. It is def. true that mistakes by Msft are generally shrugged off like in: We expect it.

But as far as the browser is concerned and the way Msft handles their bundles and everything I have not been able to find fault with it. But like I said, I guess I have not worked enough with it. But I am sure you saw all the support Msft got from the PC industry etc. earlier this months? Why would all those companies like CPQ etc. stand behind Msft? I can't go along with this idea that they want to stay in Msft's good graces and are afraid of repercussions. Gateway is breaking out of the norm and I am sure others will follow soon. So maybe something will come out of this action. I am surprised of your stance on this subject. I have not heard much in that direction from my friends and some also work in the GVT in the cpt area and they don't like this action.

Well, I guess we will see what happens. Being the only game in town never seems to last. Let's see if Msft can change that trend. Maybe they will have to work harder to make all users happy. Like I said, I had no problems so far but again: I am using Netscape.

Next time I buy a cpt I may have to check around. That new system you are eying sounds interesting.

BTW. As you know: Pretty soon we may be able to bypass IP's. And some day all our discussions on this subject may be obsolete. I hope it's not too soon. I am still trying to digest all this stuff. gg.

And who knows. Msft and Sun may go by the way side one day? Naw. But then again: B.Gates is on the board of ICOS. He seems to be coming around to my neck of the woods. gg.
