Umax, last of the Mac cloners, will phase out production of its SuperMac line. Reason: Falling profits. In May the company dropped the price of its S900BASE system by $400. Click for full story.

A revised imaging model is on the drawing board for Mac OS X and the cross-platform Yellow API. The model combines the imaging engines of QuickDraw and PostScript. Apple also says it will make Adobe's PDF its standard graphics file format. Click for full story.
