New York, May 29 (Bloomberg) -- Pfizer Inc.'s a good
candidate to buy Monsanto Co., Forbes reported. Monsanto's G.D.
Searle drug division is already working with Pfizer to market
Searle's new arthritis drugs, the first in of a new type of
painkillers with potential sales in the billions of dollars. A
Pfizer-Monsanto combination would give Monsanto the cash needed
to develop and market those drugs to their fullest potential, and
would put Pfizer into agricultural products and seeds, a market
in which it's in, the magazine reported.

Pfizer said its impotence pill, Viagra, has gained the
backing of the expert panel that advises European regulators on
drug approvals.
