Remedy and Oracle to Jointly Integrate Remedy Help Desk With Oracle8
and Oracle Applications

First Out-of-Box Integration Between Best-of-Breed Help Desk and Enterprise Resource Planning
Products

REDWOOD SHORES and MT. VIEW, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Remedy(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: RMDY - news)
and Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL - news) today announced that they will tightly integrate Remedy's Help Desk(TM)
with the Oracle8(TM) database server and Oracle(R) Applications. For the first time, users will be able to share information
between the leading help desk and enterprise resource planning applications without requiring custom integration, allowing for
faster business operations and lower computing costs.

Enhanced data sharing will allow Remedy and Oracle customers to reduce the cost of maintaining redundant internal databases
and obtain faster, more accurate information to resolve calls for help.

For example, the IT department will be able to share and update information from the Remedy Help Desk with the finance
department's Oracle Asset Management application. The same benefit applies to external customer support information stored
in the Oracle Service application, and to personnel information kept by the Oracle Human Resources application.

The first product slated for integration will be Remedy Link for Oracle Applications, available in June. This new software
product from Remedy will create a general purpose, bi-directional data link between any Remedy Action Request System(R)
application and any Oracle Applications module. The first release will also include a ready-to-use, optimized interface joining
the Remedy Help Desk with the Oracle Assets application module. A similar one-touch interface for the Oracle Service
application module will be released later this year.

Remedy Link for Oracle Applications also will include ready-to-use optimization for Remedy's product line and Oracle's
database server, such as automatic configuration and performance settings.

Remedy will continue working closely with Oracle on technology development, marketing and customer service as a member
of the Oracle Alliance(SM) Program. Oracle will provide technical resources to Remedy to allow their applications to achieve
scalability and performance with Oracle on both Windows NT and Unix. Oracle and Remedy also have formed a global
alliance to provide customers around the world with optimized technology and enhanced services.

''We have worked with Oracle closely since the early days of our company,'' said Larry Garlick, president and CEO at
Remedy Corporation. ''By linking the best-of-breed enterprise resource planning applications with the world's leading help
desk solution, customers will gain access to the most cost-effective enterprise solution.''

''Our efforts with Remedy provide our customers with leading solutions with Oracle Applications,'' said John Hall, vice
president, system products, global alliances at Oracle. ''Remedy will now benefit from additional Oracle technical, sales and
marketing resources to facilitate the worldwide deployment of Remedy on Oracle for our mutual customers.''

The two companies also said they intend to use each other's software in critical parts of their businesses. Oracle presently uses
the Remedy Help Desk as its worldwide internal help desk; and Remedy plans to implement its finance system and portions of
its customer care system with Oracle Applications.

Remedy will offer Remedy Link for Oracle Applications worldwide at $25,000 per Oracle server, with unlimited users in the
U.S. Customers outside the US should consult their local Remedy reseller for local pricing.
