Regarding Curly's remark If past is prologue the only real impact from the Merced delay will be to present a great investment opportunity in Intel stock

I bought into Intel after the Pentium floating point bug was announced and have hung on ever since. Intel has been one of the best performers in my portfolio, only recently surpassed by the huge rise in my Pfizer holdings, compared to Intel's relatively limp performance.
