Mr. Owen Jones reports
Sideware Systems has been accepted to IBM's BESTeam Software Partner
program. As a BESTeam member, Sideware is authorized to offer unique
e-business solutions that include IBM middleware products, such as Domino and
DB2, in conjunction with one or more Sideware products.
Sideware plans to focus its marketing efforts on e-business users. For instance,
investor relations and distant learning web sites are examples of market segments
that will directly benefit from Net Notions (Sideware's business messaging and
chat system) being integrated with Domino and DB2. Beginning in the fall of 1998,
the company will introduce Dr. Bean, its customer service product integrated with
Domino, DB2 and Net Commerce from IBM. Dr. Bean offers suppliers and
customers that ability to communicate and navigate interactively via real-time
messages associated with e-commerce web pages.
