Monday June 1, 11:43 am Eastern Time Cabletron cuts prices SAN JOSE, Calif., June 1 (Reuters) - Cabletron Systems said Monday it has cut the prices of its GIGAswitch/asychronous transfer mode modules by up to 42 percent. The company said in a statement the price cuts target high-bandwidth applications such as voice, video and data, making ATM products more affordable. Customers can choose either a 5-slot or 14-slot modular chassis. The multi-mode fiber 622M bps module is priced at $9,675 and the single-mode fiber 622M bps module is priced at $11,495, Cabletron said. Cabletron makes high-performance computer networking products.
