Wheat First Union issued Company Report

Posted: June 1, 1998

On April 22, 1998 Wheat First Union analyst Jeffrey Omohundro issued a 6 page Company Report on Philip Morris Companies Inc. Report highlights: "An OUTPERFORM rating was maintained for the company, with a price target of $50 per share. EPS estimates for 1998 and 1999 remained unchanged at $3.15 and $3.45 respectively. 1Q98 EPS results were $0.79 versus $0.73 for the year earlier period. Uncertainty regarding the domestic tobacco settlement continues to cloud the outlook for the company."
