Any honest opinions on the long term prospects for this company. A year? A few years from now?

Could someone try to interpret this ?

Peck, who lowered his rating on Intel to neutral from buy,
said he expected the delay to cost Intel $0.25-0.26 a share in
earnings in 1999.

Using the current outstanding shares (1775M), this translated
into 443M of profit. Using his figure of selling at 1500 of cost
at 100, he is expecting more than 300,000 Merced in the
first half year of its introduction.

That is quite a number given the market Merced is expected to
be selling to. Is this reasonable ?
