CPU is oversold using both stochastics and rsi tech indicators, but has basically been at oversold levels since $20. Key support for the stock is at 13 7/8, the closing price on 1/6/97. If CPU closes below this level it will probably move lower from there, with summer coming and state of PC business, I would expect CPU to break support, but it is any ones guess.....

I believe CPU is presenting at the Paine Webber conference today. We'll see what they have to say about their next few qtrs. I am holding this sick puppy as well. I agree with your assessment of near term problems but strongly believe the Jim Halpin and his management are top notch. You do not return 25% ROE in this business without being very good. The one other positive you did not mention is their investment in call centers. This service should be ramping up over the next qtr or two. It is aimed at providing support services for their product and vendor products. It has been an area of investment for the last few qtrs.
