I think oftentimes "day-trading" is a 0-sum game. For every $ you get off
the table, there is a guy who lost a $. As such, its extremely
competitive, and imho luck plays a big part in doing well. Over
the long term, its hard to make money day-trading. I will grant
you that sometimes, someday everything is so outta whack that
you can increase the odds in your favor. On such days day trading
makes some sense.

Good for you sz. BUT have your eyes widely open, any moment the swing could let you lose a couple of points if you bet wrong directions. 20+ drop for DELL from top, it could be a good chance to average in. I have my money ready and ready to get in at any minute.

**OT** Sec, music to my ears.

I'm not a day-trader, have personally found more success in trades of a few days or weeks. But, oh do I love the swings. (Every now and then, I'll cheat and open-close over a couple of hours.)

Now, I'm not skeptical that your recipe is successful. But, I'd like to understand how you maximize profits without some perspective beyond one day. Even my quick flips are predicated on magnitude assumptions, which are related to longer term *trends*.

Happy trading. (Even if you're disinterested, the next few weeks should be a blast!)
