Tom, I put a call through to the company today, and had a nice chat with Peter Southward. To answer your question...yes, the drill is turning. It actually started this weekend, so this means they are a bit ahead of schedule. Peter went on to say that news releases on initial core can be expected anytime between mid-June and end of June. No comments will be made on findings or progress until they have hard data from the assayers. Peter went on to say that the press of events last week...getting the drill program started and finishing the annual report took precedence over getting a news release out. (I got the impression that there probably won't be any news until the initial Creek Zone results are in. Also I'm not exactly sure from his comments, when the annual report will go out to shareholders.) Two rigs are still turning on the Ojolali. I might not be totally accurate on this, but I had the impression they're being moved around to sample different zones of interest. He emphasized that the drilling in Indonesia is presently a low cost program. Peter also expressed some optimism about reforms taking place in Indonesia, which should begin putting an end to some of the underhanded business practices that have characterized commerce in that country. Peter also mentioned that any material changes in the company's fortunes must by law be reported to shareholders. This can be construed to mean any changes regarding Rappa, significant results from exploratory activity in Indonesia, etc. With respect to Rappa, nothing can be stated in a news release until contracts have been signed sealed, and delivered. He cautioned me not to read anything into this latter remark. Peter regrets that no news release came out as per his original indication made to me last month. He said he is learning not to put time frames on statements regarding the company's business. There are too many contingencies arising during the press of daily business that make unexpected demands that it is almost impossible to stay on one's anticipated schedule. Basically the above information completes what I learned. Personally, I was pleased to learn that the drilling has started. Give them credit for being ahead of schedule on this one. Now, let's all keep our fingers crossed that they do have something in the Creek zone worth crowing about. Don
