<A> Newbridge - Energis Pact -2: Extends Existing Pact ATLANTA (Dow Jones)--Newbridge Networks Corp. (NN) said it has signed an agreement with Energis plc (ENGSY) under which both companies will align their data networking strategies for the future. In a press release, Newbridge said the agreement includes a contract valued at about $200 million for asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switching equipment and related services, as well as the formation of a five-year "Partners in Data" agreement. It said this agreement extends the existing three-year relationship in the development and deployment of advanced data services. Energis plc is a telecommunications company. Newbridge, Ottawa, provides networking products and services.
