Coop:

I appreciate your posts. Good Work !

One thing however.... The notion that China is not doing much business with the west is just not true. A former client of mine lives in Hong Kong, and has for the last 7 years. He independently does business with about 60 different Chinese Companies.

A friend down the street built some super powerful motors, and wired them for Asian current. ( He took a hosing ).

I opened a new 57K modem a few minutes ago. The PC connecting cord, the little transformer and the phone connection wire, " Made in China"
( PRC )

A painter friend of mine in Boston uses only brushes made of some special bristle found only on the mainland and shipped from Singapore.

80% of the key blanks used in the US are milled in China.

I'm sure having the connection with a factory is advantageous, but other routes are wide open.

According to Jim, the local political climate is the most important factor to be watched. The more political power a local attracts, the easier it seems that his nose gets bent out of shape.

I'm long on RMGG as long as it doesn't loose itself in all this merging, and this note is not bashing, but rather a plea for perhaps a more abstemious attitude.
