The only consolation is the below normal volume on most issues....

DO had already sold off and now it appears RIG will join DO in the doldrums...

I am amazed that DO & RIG have suffered along with the GOMs since they are insulated from the rate weakness....

Don't know what to add to an already dismal day other than to say this pain is real for all of us. I'm surprised about VRC today, but given the overall market I couldn't expect less.

Be prepared for more of the same folks. Although some of our stocks have taken some big hits, new lows appear to be ahead. Consider shorting some techs like DELL, INTC, and MU. Probably some rebound tomorrow, so watch the market carefully.

Asia has really yet to hit earnings and the market is now reflecting that.

We have NOT seen washout volumes yet. Until we do, I'd advise to stay clear of your favorite equities. Don't be heros.
