I agree that some stocks are trying to rally against the grain. My two largest holdings, VECO and WFR have held up fairly well the last couple days, though VECO gave up most of its rally gains. COHU which is a favorite of yours has faired well, too, with NVLS a bit worse. ETEC, of course has been one of the worst, along with the automation stocks, PRIA and ASYT.

I think we could see a small rally soon, followed by additional retrenchment. I agree that the ultimate bottom may well not come until this fall. I hold VECO primarily because their own BTB is still positive, so I think that they have a chance of growing against the tide. Nevertheless they will probably be killed like the other stocks in the sector in the end. The baby always gets thrown out with the bath water, you know.
