OK, I know I'm pessimistic, but I don't see the OPEC meetings as a quick fix. After rushing for cover the last time, only to watch prices subsequently slide, the shorts may not be so fearful of OPEC announcements. And I am talking about the crude oil shorts as well as the short sellers of oil service stocks. Perhaps this time they will wait to see whether announced cuts in production have any impact on stocks.

Am I overestimating the short sellers? Will they prefer to play it safe? I've seen in other ares that when the shorts think they are on to a good thing, it takes a lot to shake them.

I agree, though, that this would have been a good day to come into this sector, at least compared to Friday. Of course, tomorrow could be a good day to get in as compared to today. The funds are out there, but they must be thinking: why get in today if it is likely to be even cheaper tomorrow? And in this market environment, how many funds are holding back altogether?

I guess I'll get to work on that resume tonight. Hey, does 7/11 require a resume?
