Select retail stocks will do well. Find the ones with positive forward guidance, and positive momentum while the market is churning in a corrective phase. The angst in the market will just lift them higher. TOM (awful line of clothes, but no accounting for some people's tastes!) GPS, NOBE, HD, COST, DH, WMT are some that come to mind.

Today I traded CDNW at the open, selling at 19 3/4 (right at the open)
after buying friday at 18 3/8 on weakness. After my trade and
another at 20 the price quickly fell back to the 18 level.
I count myself lucky. But I would be interested to hear
from anyone who has day trading strategies that aim at
taking advantage of beginning of market and end of market
volatility. Many stocks vary by as much as 10 percent during
the opening few minutes.
