More interesting comparisons for the staffing industry:

Company................Outstanding shares............Float

ASGN.........................10.8 MM.......................6.7 MM
ACSY..........................11.3 MM.......................2.8 MM
ASIS.............................6.5 MM........................1.8 MM
HIR...............................2.8 MM........................1.9 MM
JOB...............................4.0 MM........................2.6 MM
JOL................................3.6 MM........................1.5 MM
SOLP.............................5.2 MM........................2.7 MM
TPMI..............................2.0 MM........................0.7 MM
WRS..............................3.2 MM........................1.0 MM
____________________________________________________

Total outstanding shares, nine staffing companies: 49.4 MM
Total float, nine staffing companies combined: 21.7 MM

Total outstanding, FAMH alone: 70 MM
Total float, FAMH alone: 24 MM

What happens when small staffing companies print lots of shares, and leave a huge float? They don't move.

Two cases in point:

MDIX: 20.3 MM shares outstanding, 17.3 MM float

.........Price: about .40

**DR: 36.1 MM shares outstanding, 18 MM float

.............Price: .50

***Actually, DR had about $450 MM in sales for the year. Revenues aren't everything.
