Request: New net needs stocks I linked the new computer with other PC system in the basement using a 150' ethernet cable last night. The 'distant' machine is connected to the cable modem, so I can use that box as a proxy server and connect to the internet simultaneously via both modem and cable (does that mean I can send myself email in real time?). That leaves the powerbook (which I run the TA on) the only unit left to network, which I will do tomorrow. The neural net is testing well, and the new datafeed will go live by Wednesday. The new feed will give me 20,000 equities, 8000 mutual funds and 500 indices to play with. Right now I am going to stay with a 4-6 day price forecast and forward test it for about a month. The neural processor can train a net in about 4 seconds on the new machine, but that still means 24 hours of straight processing to do all of them - in other words, data loaded at 5 pm would be done by 5 pm the next day. So I will be running a subset of only 1000 or so equities to get it done in less than 2 hours. Email, Post or message me with any tickers you want me to include in the forward test. I will start posting the ones with the greatest % gain predicted for a 5 day window in about a week and a half. Although the datafeed will have penny stocks, I would prefer to keep the price above a buck, since my Fundamental Screening software only has about 8,000 tickers in it on a weekly update, and I need to coorelate data. Understand if I don't respond to every request - assume it is included, please. lastshadow
