Hec goes down on good news so this is not a big suprise.
The volume wasn't big considering the % drop.
I would bet that we are putting in a bottom here. We hit a 52 week low, yet the company has been great in finding oil. I'd much rather buy it here than the last time it was at these levels.
I guess some people were going to dump some or all their shs. the fist time a well came up empty. But this well is going to produce.

This is somewhat old news, but I haven't seen it reported here yet. It just came up on PointCast (I guess PointCast is good for something after all -grin-):

CIBC Oppenheimer Corp. issued Company Report

Posted: May 28, 1998

On May 7, 1998 CIBC Oppenheimer Corp. analyst Victor Hughes, Jr issued a 3 page Company Report on Harken Energy Corp. Report highlights: "A STRONG BUY rating was maintained due to the company's large inventory of high-potential acreage in Colombia. A 12-month target price was set at $9.25. The company is valued on its exploration potential, not its accomplishments in Colombia to date."
