From today's State re: last three days of current legislative session:

While a poker ban has fizzled, a last-minute effort to pass sweeping regulations and higher taxes on video poker is a real possibility, Land said.

"I for one don't want to leave here without video poker being regulated, taxed and background checks (for operators)," Land said.
