Nope, not supposed to comment on this. It's political. Just ignore it. It'll go away.

Yes, you are being way too gloomy.

Within one-four months it will all be essentially over. In fact, I think the worst of the political impact is already over, but the Naz downdraft has taken up the slack.

There may remain some zealots who refuse to clear Loral's name, but most won't care, and the market certainly won't.

This is a great time to buy the shares. Perhaps you will wish to wait some days or weeks for the naz weakness to reverse. Personally, I've been legging in in stages.

Doug

Don, this is in the FWIW category. A bud of mind is a heavy duty trader at one of San Francisco's 'household name' investment banking houses. The operative word is trader. When the LOR s*it hit the fan, he blew out every share in the joint (this was beaucoup de shares). I, naturally, got on the nearest soap box and pleaded for innocence, truth, justice, and the integrity of Mr. Schwartz, not to mention the "1/2 the world has never made a phone call", and every other missionary doctrine at my command. Might just as well have gone to the Golden Gate bridge and pleaded with the tides to stop ebbing and flowing.
These dudes do not care one tinker's damn if Bernie is as pure as the new driven snow and if all the charges add up to enough hot air to launch the rest of the G* constellation. Their read is just that the stock is under a cloud, it's gonna go down before it goes up, and it ain't gonna go up anytime soon. See 'ya, next game.
That is not to say that long term holders are schmucks but only to say they're playing a different game. You pays youse money and youse takes youse chances. I've got orders in on the 2001 LEAPS which is a first for me. Regards, Mike Doyle

Don,
My opinion is that there will be a finding within the next year with respect to Loral's (or a Loral employee's) guilt or innocence in the China 'secrets' matter. Best outcome: innocent; worst outcome: someone will be found culpable and punished in some way, such as fine, or censure, or loss of security clearance, or loss of job, and maybe even a bit of jail time (unlikely). It is unlikely, in my opinion, that Loral as a company will be punished, though it is possible. In any case, Loral will survive with business plan intact, as well it should, having committed no corporate sins.
