"I recently asked my local bank branch manager... ready for Year 2000.....Apparent that I knew more about the Y2K problem than he did."

I would not expect a branch manager to know about Y2K. Now, if the manager of that regional bank's MISystem hemmed and hawed, I'd begin hunting around my basement for some old canning jars--backyard safe-deposit boxes.

As a point of interest, at the hospital where I work virtually the whole crop of desktop computers will not survive the turn of the century. There is oodles and oodles (is oodles plural or singular?) of software that has yet to be changed. Our one computer tech can only report on the problem as there is no budget for fixing the software. I'dunno what will happen. Interesting, eh?

Regards,
David Todtman
