To the thread, but particularly to raefon, who has asked me to get rid of my hostilities. I have not been short this stock (although I now wish I had) and in no post of mine can anybody point to cheers for a downward plunge like you are experiencing. There have been those "bulls" who occasionally express a desire for a "pullback" so they can load up but I have not been one of them and besides, who would accuse them of the kind of cheering of which I am accused? I am not finding enjoyment in your losses, I have no wish to see anybody lose their money, especially not the friends I have made here. You have my sincerest condolences for your plight. In truth, I am glad I am out of TFS, and make no bones of it. I wish I did not have the 66 shares in my IRA, but they are of little consequence. Having said that, I feel entitled to defend myself from those here who really do harbor feelings of hostility at the alarming turn of events, and can find no better place to direct them than at the one who has poked a little fun at their pontificating and arrogance; and who raised also a few questions which might benefit somebody not in their anointed class who might have bumbled in here and been overwhelmed by their opinions which are backed by brilliant, high quality Fundamental Analysis. In a side note of sorts, I can point to posts I made several months ago directing your attentions to the DataRACE thread where literally 10,000 posts were made by one person with supporting research as to why the stock price will soon be going up. It began its slide ca.23 and now trades near $1 In post 1356 of April I declared a short in TFS from 19 3/4 which never materialized. That information was revised in 1382, four days later, and I paste it below because it shows clearly that I have misled nobody but more importantly, it validates what I say above about not wishing any of you ill fortune. It may also serve to remind you that what you may have considered too corny/funny to merit serious consideration --- the MOT basement skit --- might well have saved a few Gucci's from the trash heap if the wearer had left them at the top of the stairs and donned some good ol' hip boots, or like me, turned on his heel and took to higher ground. Oh, I know it is not over, and it would be nice to have all of you later telling me how clever you were by adding to your position at these prices. raefon, after you read it ---and you need to--- please explain to me the meaning of: "Have a look and do not suck." You have posted it here and on the YAHOO TFS boards and I admit, I haven't a clue as to its meaning. ______________________________________________________________________ To: +raefon (1380 ) From: +Franklin M. I must also confess not to have taken the short position I advertised---the order was not executed. I have my second thoughts at this time simply because I do not wish an earlier post of mine to become a self-fulfilling prophesy ---the one about my being able to pick the bottom by selling all my shares. Not wanting to be known as a cheerleader ---especially on the down-side --- I assure you I have retained a total of 66 shares in one of my IRA accounts while I continue to contemplate the possibility of shorting in my trading account. All joking aside ---well, almost all--- I still feel that management's hopes to achieve results similar to an earlier fortuitous slip into the "Ol' two-holer on the hill" by executing a showy swan dive right back into the same nethermost region are ill-founded. The SEA cesspool wants further draining, failing which could release an unwholesome smell into the MOT basement. The results would not be glamorous. I will not elucidate but those who have experienced such calamity in their personal abodes need no prompting! Additionally, the trade concessions in the Japanese market won by the Clinton administration on behalf of MOT are severely threatened by that country's continued backward slide down its own slippery economic slopes. Not at all comforting is the knowledge that they (Japan) have a desperate grip on our coattails vis a vis the dollar/yen. Please forgive my substituting for the obligatory IMHO my own disclaimer that I am in no way qualified by education nor experience to publish these musings for the benefit of those seeking investment advice. On the other hand, I believe my "Chicken bones, tea leaves and Fish guts(pat. pend.)" strategies promise an efficacy exceeding mere FA and TA offerings from Wall and Main streets establishments. They are available to anybody with the requisite gullibility and funds. Frank
