Thanks, I liked that ICOS short too, although, I still think it will be back in the mid teens in days to weeks. When I look back at last year, I would have done well holding the 5 dead cat bounce stocks I bought for a year for big gains, around the 100% mark. Not a single loser in the bunch. Still convinced that there is money to be made in playing off overreaction...... Now, if we had no margin and we did a short sale, then we would collect no interest on the money from the short sale as it sat there in the brokerage account. However, if we do have a margin, and we apply the short sale to the balance, thereby reducing it, we really haven't earned interest on the short sale credit, we've only reduced the balance on which we pay interest......well that should irritate an accountant/brokerage type enough to get them to quit lurking and speak up......
