However, I do not agree with anyone who takes the position that someone resident in the US does not have the right to voice criticism against the US -- unless he or she is born here. . I think that approach seems antithetical to the essence of what this country is all about. Immigration has been one of the critical elements in the success that the US has achieved--the absorption of new blood and the vibrancy that it brings. It has brought opportunity to the immigrants and has enriched the country whether it was the Irish and European influx early this century or the more recent influx of Asians. Check out the award winners of national competitions --spelling bees, Westinghouse awards, etc and you'll see that recent immigrants have been a significant factor in these competitions. And it is these very people who will one day be among the leaders of this country in various facets of life. If you are addressing this to my opinion you are way off the mark and if you think anyone and everyone should be let into the US feel free to lobby for the repeal of all immigration laws... btw, legal immigrants do not have the same rights and freedoms as US citizens in numerous ways feel free to lobby for a change in that as well... Monday June 1, 6:45 pm Eastern Time U.S. OPTIONS/Bullish combo in EVI CHICAGO, June 1 (Reuters) - A large spread executed in EVI Weatherford Inc. (EVI - news) options involving the July 50 puts and November 60 calls looks like a new bullish position, analysts said. The July 50 puts and November 60 calls had minimal open interest heading into the session, which implies the spread was an initiating position, said Michael Schwartz, a managing director of CIBC Oppenheimer. ''He sold the puts to finance the call purchase, indicating he's bullish on the stock,'' Schwartz said, noting the puts are near the money while the calls are out of the money. EVI Weatherford, an oilfield services company, was formed this spring as the result of a merger between EVI Inc. and Weatherford Enterra Inc. EVI shares were down 2-3/8 at 48-3/16. In other options activity, a large seller in Kmart Corp. (KM - news) July 20 calls probably also owns the stock and is expecting volatility to decline over the summer, said a CBOE market maker in Kmart crowd. Kmart projected rising sales at its annual meeting in mid-May. The July 20 options saw volume of more than 2,700 contracts this morning. Kmart volatility has been hovering at 35-40 percent, average for the options, the market maker said. Kmart stock was up 11/16 at 20-1/16. June 40 calls on LCI International Inc. (LCI - news) were the second most active equity option on the CBOE in the afternoon, with volume of almost 4,700 contracts in the strike. The deal involved two principal parties and was ''crossed'' on the floor, said a market maker. Open interest figures for LCI options suggest the June 40 calls were purchased today to exit the short leg of a 35/40 call spread initiated in April and May, Schwartz said. Heavy volume in Texas Instruments (TXN - news) June 55 puts and calls looks like someone getting out of straddle position, Schwartz said.
