Fwiw, I've heard from a decent rumor source today that Cisco takes CIEN out. On one hand, the relationship seems reasonable, on the other, Cisco rarely buys public companies (Stratacom being an exception). The synergy seems to fit though, given the working relationship between them, and Cisco's desire to be involved in that market. And where ELSE would they go? LU? ALA? Pirreli?

I had heard TLABs and CIEN previously, but CSCO makes more sense. In any case, it's a rumor.
