Thats backwards...
divide by 2 and multiply by 3..
1000 divide by 2 = 500 times 3 = 1500.

No it means you have 3 shares in your account after split for every 2 shares in your account before the split. Basically you get 1 share for every 2 shares you hold on the xdiv date.
