HerbVic reported Form 144 filed 5/27/98 to register shares

Filer's name not public yet but as of 5/20/98 Thomson reported 1998
insider sales by:

Insider Name Position Shrs Trd Date Price

TEVANIAN AVADIS (Chief Tech Officer) -7,525 02/27/98 23.63

TEVANIAN AVADIS (sold recently optioned shares to buy a house ?)

MANDICH MITCHELL (Exec VP Sales) -20,000 02/26/98 22.50

MANDICH MITCHELL -10,000 02/26/98 22.63

Form 144 (5/27/98) is an "intention to sell" . Access to EDGAR
On-Line ? Please name the Apple "InCider" with the number of shares .

Should not a AAPL believer margin his optioned shares if in immediate
financial need ? My one beef with AAPL - its "cut & run" InCiders .

IBM's CEO Lou Gerstner held his shares (not options) for five (5)
YEARS and only recently sold a small portion .

Jim K.

PS: Seeing AAPL's head of sales and its Chief Techie sell their shares
as soon as "optioned" should cause a CEO heartburn . Gerstner made his
zecks buy IBM shares and hold them .
