James, I used the S&P Listing as of 6/1/98 from the S&P Webb Page to run the scans. I ran the scans for the S&P stocks below the 200 Day SIMPLE Moving Average in BOTH Quotes + and Meta Stock with the following results:

As of yesterdays close there were 156 below the 200 SMA and 341 above the 200 SMA(the scan dropped 3 for some reason-probably unable to calculate due to length of time on S&P-not enough records for 3 of them to calc 200 MA). This scan was with Quotes +.

When I ran the same scan in Meta Stock I came up with 157 below and 340 below; therefore, I feel these results are accurate!

Don't know where the guy was getting his info but my results do not agree.

I also ran a scan for 5 trading periods ago and found 135 below and 362 above which means that there are now more below the 200 DMA than there was 5 trading days ago.
