Ignore the folklore about splits. The details have been explained
already ... look at James Scanlon's posts and the last by GaBard.

Real simple stuff! I think, People have ?'nd this
so much, I'm starting to doubt myself.

To be S.O.R. for May 29,98 you had to purchase your
pref A on or before May 27,98.=(May 27,28,29 is 3 days
for settlement) This takes into account the T+3 Rule.
It is possible that some firms can settle in 1 or 2 days.
The ex-div. date is May 29,98. Do not ask me why the
quotes do not show an x beside them yet. I am sure
that all the paperwork goes through it will be date adjusted
to co relate to the dates. That is the black and white of it all.
You cant have people buying it on June 1 and receiving a
forward split adjusted share. When the paperwork finally goes
through it should reflect this. * I think? * crazy isn't it.

Hey Look I really do not know and I am going off what brokers are telling me. This is new to me all together. I donot trade the big board stocks so I have never experienced this before . Not only that but there is a lot of people who do not know.

when xdate comes and IF I get the addition split shares trust me I will let you know. But until then it is speculation and I am posting what I am told by brokers.
