Logos -
IDC does claim that CPQ lost server and workstation share although they also show that CPQ gained overall share. Remember these are 1Q numbers, when CPQ was not discounting servers significantly. IBM had more servers in the channel at that time than CPQ (CPQ's problem was commercial workstations), and IBM used aggressive pricing on servers in 1Q to clear their channel.

I have not talked to anyone from CPQ on this so I don't know if CPQ believes the IDC numbers or not.
