Questor Partners Completes Buy Of 23% Of Impco Tech

CERRITOS, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Questor Partners Fund completed a private purchase of 23% of Impco Technologies Inc.'s (IMCO) voting stock outstanding.

In a press release Wednesday, Impco said Southfield, Mich.-based Questor acquired the stock from the estate of former Vice Chairman Edward J. Schneebeck and members of his family.

Nasdaq-listed shares of Impco closed off 1/16 at 15 5/8 Tuesday. The company had about 7 million shares outstanding as of April 30.

Also, Impco named President and Chief Executive Robert M. Stemmler to the additional position of interim chairman, replacing Peter B. Bensinger, who resigned.

Bensinger, president of Chicago-based Bensinger, DuPont & Associates, represented the Schneebeck estate and family.

The alternative fuel company named Edward L. Scarff and Christopher G. Mumford directors, filling vacancies created by the death of Schneebeck and the resignation of Bensinger.

Scarff is a principal of Questor Management, and Mumford is a managing director of Questor Partners.
