bob, I did miss the 20,000 hit mark (counter is currently at 20,084), but I suspect that it hit 20,000 right about the time of the Reuter's report on the ONTAK approval rec. Anyone can see the counter. It's at the bottom of home.att.net . You might have to hit "reload" on your browser to get a current count, but the number is there for anyone to see. I can find out what computers were visiting and the last few days the huge volume increase was due to access by computers from the companies (parent and subsidiaries) involved in the AHP/MTC merger. Of course many other pharmas and biotechs also visited the site and hits for the one page were coming in at 150 per hour. However, the front page at home.att.net was also getting hit heavily yesterday, so the two counters apparently crashed the Pagecount server (this has happened before, and it seems to correlate with heavy hitting at the Links to Ligand site).
