I just wish they'd hurry up and come out with the Thailand WEBS so I don't have to deal with these &@%(~ spreads! Also, the ability to get into a diversified portfolio of Thai equities by means of a buy-stop order will be a major bonus.

For me. I haven't been watching the baht enough to know, Reed. Just peek at it once in a while. I imagine it was stable until the dollar began its move from 135Y/D to 140Y/D. Right?

Could be that some are speculating on the basis the dollar will weaken. Would that it were. I just can't put myself solidly in that camp yet.

It would certainly take some pressure off.

That is the biggest concern but I think that the stock market can still rally even if the Baht depreciates (rather than crashes). In Mexico the stock market rallied in US$ terms while the currency weakened. OK they didn't have US$bn's of foreign debt but I've got to have something bullish to cling to.
