OT - It would be interesting to know the prevailing wind patterns in that region. If fallout affected OPEC countries or the shipping lanes, it would affect the world economy in the long run.

In the short term - apart from tragic loss of life needlessly - markets would crash, oil would go up, etc.

Imagine Chernobyl magnified many times and you start to get the idea. Let's hope it never happens - but the nuclear clock has moved back a few ticks closer to midnight.

OT - Last comment on this subject, but it needs to be made. The majority of people in the world consider you to be a pagan. Be careful with terms like that.
