For investment accounts you must also consider the 30 day wash sales rules, if you take a loss. For IRA's they don't effect you, but for investment accounts if you take a loss then you can not buy it back for 30 days. If you do then it causes the prior loss not to be deductible for Income Taxes.

So given that I think RDRT will rise within 30 days, and with a basis of $11, I won't sell into this current down turn. Call me gullible, but the company has said they expect to announce a qualification of either a 2.5 at Seagate, or a 2.8 or 3.4 at other accounts before the end of June. So that is within the 30 day wash sale window.

Not holding my breath, but hoping to heard a qualification soon,
