Sikorsky, Comanche: sikorsky.com As Sikorsky puts it: The Boeing Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche is the world's most advanced helicopter. And the cornerstone of the U.S. Army's Force XXI aviation modernization plan. The Inside Comanche page has a brief description of the cockpit, including HIDSS. The "Cockpit" feature may have more info when it's finished... it should at least provide some taxpayer supported entertainment. I'm ambivalent about DARPA projects because I'm not convinced they're the best place to allocate resources. However, this is one of the better military programs to be involved with - Comanche is one of the few slated to get decent funding going forward. Another plus is the potential for commercial use of this display technology; it appears to be essentially the same as the display introduced at SID and "designed for ultra-high resolution military and commercial applications to display symbology, targeting data, medical images and other high resolution display images."
