"Don't think this can't happen to Syquest
FastComm Communications (FSCX) 1 3/8 -1/32: designer of access products for digital networks says lawsuit award will force company into Chap. 11 bankruptcy protection."

Better companies than syquest have fallen into chapter 11 bankruptcy protection: e.g.: Weitek, Zenith, American Sensors, etc. All with excellent award winning products. However, I think Syquest has a fighting chance. If they do not show positive cash flow in this quarter then the situation will become rather uncertain. I think the reason the share price is down is because the CEO was given 1 million options exercisable at $2 3/16 when the share price was trading at $2 5/8. This is the wrong signal that a CEO would give the market. If he was given options exercisable at $5 provided the share remains above $5 for 3 months - most respectable companies do that, then the share price would have responded better. I think they should find themselves another CEO who can control expenses and worry more about shareholders' equity than about his own greed.
