Sonny, re: FTC misfire on Intergraph

As I understand this the FTC wants to force Intel to provide all the data that is shared with other customers under nondisclosure agreement to any company that claims it makes PC's, regardless of the the relationship with the these companies. This means like the federal government wants to create Intel's own private little Freedom of Information Act. Hmmmm

This means that any competitor can come to the table of new technology - for free! After all, one only needs a little PC shop to become a PC company these days. I perhaps even AMD and National could manage this rather easily. I would bet they would like to be at least on par with Intergraph to slop at a free Intel technology banquet.

Of course this won't happen. The effect will be that Intel will cease to share any future design guidance with anyone, much to the detriment of the PC industry.

Another way for our government to hobble American Industry stars. With a government like this I wonder how the U.S. excels at anything?
