Father Terrence, I can't remember the saying about the Holocaust but here goes something close: They came for the Poles but I wasn't Polish so I didn't speak out. They came for the Jews and I wasn't Jewish so I didn't speak out. They came for the Catholics but I wasn't Catholic so I didn't speak out. They came for me and no one was left to speak for me.

Work camps can happen anywhere and have very little to do with laws and everything to do with aggression. You should understand that, as you seem to be a rather aggressive personality. The Japanese threw all kinds of people all over Indonesia and China into work camps- not because of any of the Constitutions involved but because the Japanese were aggressive, and had no moral qualms about their position- rather like YOU actually. You don't seem to have any moral qualms about your positions, or the practical human tole your beliefs might exact upon individuals if anyone put your beliefs into practice. And I am aware that rights can be suspended in an emergency. I think I prefer to imagine FEMA in control during a catastrophe than bands of unorganized armed or unarmed civilians.
