Do not blame INTC, semis are 4-year cyclicals. The Pentium architecture came out in mid 1996 ... Merced architecture will come out in mid-2000. One cannot change the laws of physics. And semi-equip makers will ramp up for each cycle. Richard, I hope you see this post ... it remains a 4-year cycle, forget what the media says.

btw, I remember the Pentium glitch in '96 very vividly. My husband and I were nonplused at Andy's Grove arrogance at not wanting to correct the bug since we would both be effected ... enuf said, we were bright enough to be ruffled but not bright enough to load up the boat, understanding that INTC would have to correct the bug in order to be a household name in America.

Sonki, I am glad you explained your core investment strategy and that your trades are for "fun". Now I know well where you are coming from, my dear.

Good Morning Sonki,

It will probably take the actual arrival of Merced to end the long slump with Intel. In the mean time it is prudent to keep a close eye on anything which could change Intel's fundamentals giving it a track of growth again.

Have a good day

Frank
