I guess that time proved him (Reagan) right then (about the collapse of the Soviet empire) and that current events (proliferation of nuclear and biological weaponry) will prove that an impartial world-wide missile defense system (offered and refused at Reykjav¡k) is the earth's best hope of preventing mass destruction.
