Yet another sign the end is near for this long in tooth bull market. However, the question is what does this do for gold. I don't necessarily believe that if the market goes down gold must go up. I think we need to see what unfolds. If it becomes evident that the bear is brought on by inflation gold wins. But if the deflation scenario wins the day, gold goes no where. By the way, I am by no means sure that gold goes up if we have a depression. The 1929 example may not be applicable since the government set the price of gold.

I always enjoy your comments which are incisive and thoughtful, but in my mind the jury is out.
