OT With any one stock that does quite well during the contest, 59 of 60 people do not have a chance of getting to first place. It is kind of like real life. That's why we aren't all millionaires. (are we?) But it's your contest. I'll play by whatever rules we think are appropriate. I picked a couple of penny stocks just for that purpose, but as you can tell, I chose unwisely. Since the formula is (A-B)/B, I figured the smaller the denominator, the closer to infinity the results would be. My rank (constantly in the bottom 5) is rank, and I got what I deserved - having done no dd on my choices. - It is hard for anyone to learn from my choices. At least I'm not holding the dogs that Tiffany Trump has...<vbg> Perhaps I should put my money where my picks are... Now that would be a true contest.... If we all had to purchase a block of shares, on the chosen day of the contest, and had the choice of bailing (if our investment doesn't product the desired results) and hence be out of the contest until the next quarter. Then, all of those left in the contest would have to send the winner a token or something. Maybe, since the winner is sitting there with that big pile of valuable stock, he/she could send all of the rest of the remaining players something. (I have these great collapsible water bottles I could send to everyone if I win <vbg again>) TLC could send everyone a rubber chicken! What does everyone else think? jack
