had i sold those naked calls on 10/3/97 when vvus was $39.50(who knows in the money 30's for $9.50 with a time value of $3 to 4 bucks, for a total of $12.50 to $13.50 profit). for every 1,000 shares a profit of 12 to 13k. i;ll take it. of course i do not know what the option was valued back then just a guess but it could explain some of the now foolish looking wager.
